cheese popcorn... I just love that day-glo orange popcorn... anyone know how to make it?

or the white cheddar popcorn? I've tried shredding cheese on popped corn then heating in oven until melted... not bad, but messy and not quite the same.

I've tried buying boxes of Kraft Mac n Cheese, throwing away the macaroni and using the packet of oh-so-healthy fake cheddar to sprinkle on the popped corn... doesn't stick. I even tried spraying the popcorn with Pam, then sprinkling.... still doesn't stick.

Maybe I should just put the cheese powder in one bowl, the popcorn in another, dip and eat piece by piece??

Funny how something so good contains NO chocolate!

 
I was the lucky recipient of "Cyn's Day-Glo" sprinkle. Delicious...you can almost taste the orange

coloring. And it's made by Amish folks from real food products--not Rows 3 & 4 of the Periodic Table.

Sadly, even though I sealed the powder in a glass jar, it absorbed moisture and eventually turned into a smaller, denser Day-Glo orange blob that I bounced off someone's head.

And then giggled so much that bladder control became an issue.

Cyn, have I thanked you lately for the cheese and that belly laugh??

 
It's probably good that the moisture got into it. In addition to glowing in the dark it

I think it also causes bladder control problems. At least I figure that was the cause of what happened when I read your post smileys/wink.gif)

 
Is that like the stuff Kraft marketed for awhile in the tall canister like parmesan?

If so, I did use that for awhile, and it wouldn't stick to popcorn unless I buttered it first.
