OOPS sorry, see it calls for canned.Used to make a kuchen

using canned peaches that was really good--might be similar to this.

Canned peaches in heavy syrup is one of the few things I like canned.

Or at least I did when they were actually soft. The last time I bought them for a bread pudding, the peaches were HARD.

So...mushy but hard. That's just wrong.
