Cheezz, Tess: Here's the report on the CI vegan chocolate cake.

It was absolutely amazing! I made it exactly as the recipe called for--I used all the ingredients they mentioned. I must admit I was skeptical, but the result was incredible. The people we had over (college professors who are widely traveled, love good food, etc.) said it was the best chocolate cake they've ever had. I might not go quite that far, but it was just terrific. It was moist, extremely flavorful and had a great texture. The frosting wasn't the easiest to work with--I used an offset spatula like I usually do, but it turned out fine. It tasted great, it was just a bit harder to spread than a "normal" frosting. I will definitely make this for my Christmas party. No one would guess it's vegan and then my friends can eat it and everyone can benefit from no eggs, butter and cream! Thanks so much for recommending it.

 
Thanks ms, I have make the crazy cake for years. it is yummy, but this looks a bit more refined?

 
Thanks for the update -- I was always sceptical -- but it was a CI recipe

now I just have to try it out.
