Chocolate and chili

Ooop...*chile*, that is.

I saw a tip the other day that said dropping two chocolate Hersey's kisses (or an equivalent amount of your favorite chocolate) into a pot of chile brings a nice smokey flavor to the dish; apparently it doesn't make it too sweet. It didn't specify milk or dark, but I think dark would be the way to go. I might try this the next time I make chile.

Of course, there's many examples of chocolate being used in main dishes in Mexican cuisine.
