Chocolate and Molasses. Such an amazing combination

I just stirred up a hot chocolate with a spoonful of Hershey's cocoa and a spoonful of Brer Rabbit together with boiling water and a splash of cream. It's just so yummy. Those two tastes go together so well and there are so few recipes using that combo.

There are a couple cookies and some pecan pie types that use both, but just wondering about wonderful baked chocolate-molasses tarts, cakes, fudges, and the like.

Any T&T recipes out there?

If you drink coffee, try a half teaspoon or so of molasses in it . . .

I have a bottle of blackstrap here and sometimes I put 1/2 tsp in the coffee. Very good and goes with the coffee flavor also.

I have always loved brownies with dark brown sugar--so try a tablespoon or two in your favorite brownie recipe perhaps?

I have a Russian Black Bread recipe that uses both cocoa and molasses

I had not really thought about it, but it is a nice combination.

I may have to bring that bread recipe out and make it again.
