Chocolate Cupcakes with Caramel Buttercream Icing

I made these wonderful cupcakes from the Leite's Culinaria blog(leitesculinaria.com/recipes.cookbook/choco_caramel_cupcakes.html) yesterday and was thrilled with the texture of the buttercream but am SO disappointed that I can't taste them AT ALL because of the return of a chronic sinus problem!! My taster(husband)assures me they are wonderful but I would love to try them myself after spending all morning working on them! I don't have much interest in eating right now--it all tastes like nothing!

That buttercream sounds sooo good! Bummer that you can't taste it! Can you freeze one for later??

I know the buttercream freezes and have frozen the leftovers. I will definitely freeze a cupcake or 2 to enjoy when I am better.

Still unable to taste anything....

...which is quite distressing but I am seeing an allergist which can hopefully get things under control. Thanks for the positive thoughts!
