Chocolate Ganache-Filled Strawberries - a twist on chocolate-dipping

Nice! You could fill them with chantilly cream also... or lemon curd... or...

I haven't seen nice strawberries around here yet, maybe down the shore next week I can find some nice ones -

Will definitely try this idea!

You're welcome, Deb, She has a nice looking recipe for strawberry soup with pound cake croutons

that looks really intriguing to me.

Don't forget orange!

Orange + Strawberry is my favorite combo. I use orange juice and zest when I make the filling for strawberry pie. A nice orange curd filling and then dipped in dark chocolate? Yes. Definitely.

Oh yes! ~ponders Grand Marnier pastry cream~ Do you have an orange curd recipe?

One of the first more "sophisticated" desserts I ever enjoyed were strawberries injected with Grand Marnier and dipped in chocolate. I haven't thought about those in a while...

I love lemon curd and have a very good recipe for it, but have never made orange. I'll bet blood oranges would be fantastic in some.

I made 40 of these filled ones tonight and they're nice!

I just melted Kirkland choc chips with some cream and piped it into the hulled berries. It worked best to overfill slightly, and to let them rest a few minutes before dunking into the crushed almonds (what I had on hand). I expect them to be quite popular at an 80th birthday party in the morning - lots of ladies, next to no men. Thanks for posting this EASY treat!
