Chocolate Peanutbutter Cake---yet another one, but this is worth a look.

Thank GOD I'm out of peanut butter! FOIL HELMET..FOIL HELMET

Ok, I may stop on the way home for it.
Thanks Ang!! smileys/smile.gif

peanutbutter sent me to the ER 3 weeks ago---another allergy episode---but I am sorely tempted.

Don't you dare! If it's a peanut allergy, why don't you try subbing almond, cashew or hazelnut butter?

odd thing is, I did not test high for peanuts. my body does not like the 50s.

I had eaten a half sandwich of reduced fat peanut butter and 1/2 banana on whole wheat. about 15 minutes later I blew up like a blowfish with swollen tongue. this time they kept me overnight in the ER. more testing to come.

Marilyn San, YOU one very sick puppy extraordinaire! Mimi!! Do you have room for

a Sick Puppy Extraordinaire Rehabilitation Center here??!

Please reserve a space for me too! LOL!!

Ang-I didn't test really high on mine either, or at least compared to other allergens, but peanuts

still give me an anaphylactic reaction.

My two sons-in-law just had their BD's or I'd be making this right away!!

OH, my gosh! What a beautiful cake! smileys/smile.gif

Next family BD is mine, which I am skipping this year - so maybe my DD will get it in Nov!

Bet I won't last that long! HAHA I have to make this cake!

And, I'm entering it in next year's local cooking contest! No one will believe how easy it is to make by the looks of it!

If anyone makes it right away, please post the results, ok? Think it's really as good as it looks???

I have ALL the ingredients just laying around my house...haha

*sigh

OOOH, State Fair entries are next week! but I just hate to waste a whole beautiful cake. this does

seem quite easy----lots of bang for the buck. I think I would make one change and leave the peanut butter out of the chocolate ganache----just plain sinful chocolate ganache does it for me. I'm actually thinking of entering the Lime Meltaways, also posted on her blog. I think they would hold up well and then I only waste 5 cookies instead of a whole cake. Can't stand to see all those beautiful baked goods sitting there with flies buzzing all around. yuk, but I think I'll enter anyway. I entered Homemade Oreos last year and got 2nd place.

Yay for you, Ang! Congrats! Yes, I think I'll leave the PB out of the ganache, too

I've already told my SIL about this cake. He's a peanut butter nut but so is my husband. I'm trying to think of an excuse to bake it! haha

I'd hate to see any food product sitting flies buzzing around! ew... I throw food away that flies land on! They are so nasty!

Keep us posted on how your entries go!
