Yes you can blow sugar pretty much like glass but....

I've never seen it come out completely clear. Also, humidity will make it get dull and 'frosted' pretty quickly. Most sugar artist use isomalt because it hlds up to the humidity much better - it's what I watched the Italian Pastry Team do their pieces with for the World Pastry Team Championship back in September. Absolutely amazing.
