Chuck Hughes (Food Network Ca) - BLT Bruschetta, Braised Short Ribs on Garlic Mash. Pot. w/Green

Gay, this recipe got rave reviews, however it says 6 beef short ribs

and reading the ingredients list, it calls for 2 bottles of wine. plus all those veggies. Do you suppose it should say 6 pounds of short ribs?

 
No Karen, He made 6 ribs on the show, no weight was given and plated one rib on the garlic mashed

potatoes plated with the green beans and the oil poached tomatoes on top of all.

6 ribs and all that wine, and veggies? How is that possible?

Six ribs would barely do for 3 people as they shrink so much. I do a braised short rib recipe and it calls for one bottle of wine, I use hald and still have tons of liquid left. I must be missing something?

 
Six ribs would have to be mighty massive to support that amount of wine and veggies. I do a lot of

braising, and that amount of wine is excessive.
