Cipolline onions--was given a little bag. How would you use them? they are so pretty

Well-known member
would like to use them whole-roast or braise. Says on label that they are good raw too?

TIA, Nan

I like those! They're not easy to find, what a treat. I have strewn them around a roasting chicken

or prime rib last year, and also in pot au feu. My mom used some and made creamed onions. delicious...

Thanks Ang and Heather. Some wonderful looking things on the link, and

I had not thought of creamed onions for years. I just had some raw with salami and a nice bread.

I had thought of around a roasted chicken. The five hour chicken?

A perfect blend of mild and a litle kick.
I haven't met an onion I don't like. A friend is always amazed by my shopping bag--a yellow onion, a sweet one, several shallots, a few leeks and more.

Did you know that onions and their ilk have antinflammitory properties?

My physical therapist has recommended upping my alium intake - what yummy homework huh? I think our cravings are so important to listen to... Of course I crave caramel and bacon but I'm not sure I can find a nutritional angle to *that*! hahaha.....
