Cleaning my enameled Dutch oven with Oxyclean

Other stuff: Tare maximum of my 5 lb scale is...5 lbs.

I put a pot (see above) weighing 5 lb, 1 oz and reset the tare to zero. No problem. Then I put a 5 lb bag of sugar inside the pot and got nothing but EEEEEEEEEEE for Error.

 
Even more "other stuff": The internal temperature of my Welbilt bread machine "dough" cycle is 101 F

I wanted to test this because I read that the Zojirushi bread machine dough cycle holds at 88 degrees...which is the perfect "hold" temperature for tempered chocolate. In other words, once you get the couverture at the correct tempered state, you can dip all you want and it will stay at that temperature.

So...mine is far too hot to use for this purpose. Still makes great dough, though

 
FYI, got/trying out the OXO 11 lb and tried this (it ignored the 10lb bag of sugar) and weighed...

everything I put on top as if the 10lbs wasn't there. I stacked on top a 1lb bag of rye, a couple small bowls, a loaf of sourdough, tongs...

The bar graph that shows how much weight you have left till it maxes out also pretended the 10lbs wasn't there.
