Complete and utter waste of quarantined time: Weighing flour

So I took the 525 grams of King Arthur flour that I had weighed out & used in the paska bread and measured it using my scale and a set of quality Norpro stainless steel measuring cups. (Mom's set of measuring cups...well, calling it a set would be kind. They look like a mismatched group of plastic objects that lost in a grudge match between the microwave and a hot stovetop).

Turns out the KA flour scooped in and leveled in the one-cup measurer is exactly 120 grams. And the 525 grams worked out to 4 cups + 6 TBL.

KA knows their flour.

KA does know their flour!

And I am almost certain that the scoop and level is their method of choice for measuring.

As for measuring cups being accurate and consistent, not so much. I have 2 sets of cups and it is the Tupperware one that is closest to getting it right.
