they will come out with w3. I have heard great things about it re: exercise, etc. (That is kind of FR).

I know we always talk food, but wanted to look to my friends for advise. Any websites that you would recomend for additional info? It is overwelming! TIA

Barb

Barb, we broke down a couple of months ago and bought Wii

and are having a blast with it. Seems like lately we've been getting more and more superglued to the sofa and this gets you up and moving. I'm not a big video game fan, but the Wii is different. It can be a solo venture, but is really geared toward multi-players so it makes a nice family activity.

The sports pack that came with it has bowling, tennis, golf and boxing. My guys work up quite a sweat with the boxing (hubby's even lost a few pounds) and we all have fun with the bowling. They also enjoy air guitar.

We recently purchased Wii Fit, but haven't set it up due to a remodel job in the kitchen that has all of my kitchen and dining room shoved into the living room. I'm really looking forward to trying it.

My kids LOVE their Wii! And the Wii Fit is super cool.

Concern that they might come up with a better one is...well, it's inevitable. They ALWAYS come out with a better *whatever* than the thing you just bought.

an interactive game played on the TV where you use hand held remotes to hit golf balls and throw

bowling balls and play tennis. There are characters that play you as partners, or you can play with 2 people, each one has a character on the screen. It's actually being used in nursing homes and rehab centers to get folks moving again. You can actually play these sitting down----not as fun, but if that's where the patient needs to start, then it's doable. My grandkids loved it when they visited and they figured out way more about it(of course) than I have and it's on their Christmas list. It's a good bad weather day activity and we have some very adult co-workers who have Wii parties. You can buy all kinds of other "games" for it---they are like DVDs.

You can create your own personna, called a Mii, and it's lots of fun.

We got the dance mat you put on the floor, connect to the Wii game, and you have to follow the lighted dance squares on the tv... lot of exercise, too, unlike Nintendo and PlayStation
