Cookie Drop- Are you folks sending just food items or also items from the "wish list"

Oh Hell yeah ,I'm sending extra goodies!!

PB, Drink mixes, jerky, etc.. Ya just can't send them one item. Think of them as your kids. If you don't have kids of your own, use a family member ( teenage male would be good here) who has them as an example, or someone like me who had a kid "over there" and just go wild in the store.
Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, and Airmen all want goodies from home, and love and support.
knock your selves out guys! DJ was forever grateful for the goodies you all sent him last year for Christmas. Joe's Peanut Brittle being one of the coveted items!
The pleasure you get from making a service person's day a little brighter, will make your life so much more fulfilled.

Yes, especially the frosted ones, like the Smores or Cinnamon brown sugar.

When they were bored with making mazes for their spiders ( yes, this was an activity) they concocted recipes using the goodies that were sent from home.
DJ won 2nd prize( a pair of socks. Unworn, sent to a buddy by his mom) for his milkshake made from PB MRE chocolate milk powder, water and snack pack.
Bartering took on new meaning.

Packing Material>>>>

another good packing material is hard candy, like pappermints or butterscotch. They usually pack their pockets with it when they go on good will visits to the towns to hand out to the kids, and there is no need for a million styro peanuts that seem to multiply as soon as you open the box.
