I absolutely love Crackerbarrel Restaurant, especially the hashbrown casserole. I finally obtained the recipe from someone who works there, AND I make this all the time, taste the same. Enjoy

CRACKER BARREL’S HASH BROWN CASSEROLE

Preheat oven 425◦

Ingredients:

1 26 oz Bag frozen country-style hash browns

2 cups Shredded Colby cheese

¼ cup minced onion

1 cup milk

½ cup beef stock or canned broth

2 tablespoons butter, melted- divided

1 dash garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, cheese and onion. Mix until well blended

Step 2

In second large bowl, combine the milk, beef stock, half the melted butter, garlic powder, salt and black pepper.

Mix until well blended, then pour the mixture over the hash browns and mix well.

Step 3

Heat the remaining butter in a large skillet over high heat. When the skillet is hot; spoon in the hash brown mixture. Cook the hash browns, stirring occasionally, until hot and of the cheese has melted (about 7 minutes).

Step 4

Pour heated hash brown mixture into oven, in a greased (use cooking spray) 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish and bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until the surface of the hash browns is dark brown.

Step 5

Serve.
