1 16 oz bag frozen sweet or baby peas (or fresh if you can)
1 medium onion-medium chop
4 oz cream cheese
4 oz milk
1 ½ T butter or margarine
1 T flour
Set cream cheese out to soften and milk out to warm.
Saute onions on very low heat in butter until opaque in a large enough frying pan to hold a pund of peas.
Put milk and cream cheese in microwave on the setting just after defrost for 1 or 2 minutes, at a time until easily mixed with a whisk.
Add flour to onions, cook on medium low heat for 1 to 3 minutes, until flour balls up on onions.
Remove from heat and add a little milk/cream cheese mixture, put on heat, stir, and continue a couple of times, then add all the milk/cream cheese mixture.
Turn burner on medium, and stir continually, and carefully until sauce is thick, and peas are warm, about 3-5 minutes.
