Another fun one, Randi. We probably shouldn't be amazed at anything anymore. Friends here had
a kitten, who became buddies with a crow. The kitten was about 5 months old, when it started climbing the telephone pole in the back lane. The crow would meet it at the top and the 2 would carry on for hours up there.
I can't imagine how difficult it was for a cat to climb a pole that had no bark, but then to get down as well. I never saw it on its way, only sitting up there with the crow sitting beside it.
Evenutally it became a problem when the crow became inpatient in the early mornings. If the cat was not out early enough, the crow would peck on the bedroom window. At 5:30 AM in the summer, that can be rather irritating. They had to rig a means for the cat to get out in the morning, just to accommodate the crow's need for a buddy.
What a pair! This cat was a bit crazy, though.
