You were bang-on. Today, my store actually put the name on the shelf-sticker (still isn't on the bag) but it is indeed, seme di melone.

And that was due to my search efforts, not pasta knowledge, it was a new one to me.

It's curious how the shape and size of pasta affects the taste. I love seme de melone

but they are so hard to find. Orzo or other of the tiny shapes are just not the same, IMHO

We find them slippery. H has a big gag reflex & these go down, no trouble. He actually like them.
