of course, lots of Don stories.

all the kids learned to bake at a fairly early age. Don was a bit over 7 and wanted to make cookies. Mom got out the ingredients and gave him the recipe, telling him to double everything. a few minutes later they heard from the kitchen: "Mom, how to you get the oven to 700 degrees?"

that still has me giggling '-D

Has anyone ever heard of Jeanne Robertson? She's a public speaker who does comedy.

Here's one of my favorite clips of her. She tells the story of her husband, who she calls "left brain" because of his analytical way of thinking, when she sends him to the store. He goes with a list to purchase ingredients so she can bake 7-up pound cakes to give away when someone passes away.

She's very entertaining.

Heheh, cute - sadly, that is how my niece still cooks. Half the time, double the temp (well, maybe)

(maybe not quite). She's 32!

Don sounds like he was a smart little boy!

he could be and was very litteral, a math genius. there were times he would be creating

progams, like how was I supposed to know, and I would say something and he just turned and announced he was "working" and I shouldn't interupt.

one time he turned to me and asked if I knew I was talking to myself? i smiled sweetly and said: if I don't talk to myself who else do I have to talk to? '-D

obviously, this visit brought up a lot of memories for all of us.

Praise the Powers that Be that you and Don had such an amazing...

...connection. Having been married to the same sweetheart for 22 years, I totally ***get*** your amazing connection to a wonderful mate.

Peace,

Michael

Like my Mom always said, "people are gonna talk anyways, so let's give 'em something to talk about!"

She taught me how to hug, as only a Mom can!

She used to embarrass my Dad endlessly! He was somewhat shy most of the time, so she knew she could always "get him" with that line.

OK... ((((((((((((((((((Michael))))))))))))))) "-))) I'm a good hugger too as some can tell

you smileys/smile.gif

that is such a great story about Don and I was so privileged to meet him...

Absolute total 100% Mensch. They broke the mold when he came out.
