Dawn, about the carrion plant. I have sent a piece to my friend, with postage & packaging prepared

for her trip to Calif. next week. I am now going to tell her to forget about it. Sorry. BUt I have been seeing so much suddenly about people being fined and getting nasty records on border security for illegally transporting plant bits, that I just don't want to jeopardize her position.

So, so sorry, but I won't be sending you a carrion.

No problem Marg, I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to jeopardize my friend either.

If I really want one, I should be able to find one online. Thank you for the thought!

Indeed, if you put a piece of meat in the sun and left it for a few days, you could imagine this

lovely flower. It truly STINKS but that's part of its charm. Don't know about the insects. We had it in the Caribbean but it was on the screened balcony.

Dawn, I will send one. . .

Were you the person I was supposed to send a bunch of succulents to? If you are the person, did I indeed send them to you? If you are not, (or if you are) I would be happy to send you a piece of the carrion succulent that is growing very happily out in front of our house.
