the recipe calls for "one bunch green onions sliced"...that seemed like a whole LOTTA green onions so I only used like 4 or 5 scallions...one bunch for us would have been overkill...do you really use an entire bunch of green onions for yours? Excellent salad, though...I made it with Epi's Lemon and Coriander Chicken and steamed broccoli but that salad has enough protein to stand alone! Also, have you ever toasted the grains before adding the water to cook them? I might try that next time! Do you have any other rec's for Kashi 7 Grain Pilaf? The box I bought has 3 packets inside so I have 2 left! Thanks so much for a great healthy dish!

Hi ValinFL

So glad that you liked it. I think the recipe is addicting:)

Concerning the scallions - I'm sure I only used what I thinked "looked" right. Also - bunches here can be four scallions up to 6 or 7; so I could've used a bunch:) But I typically go with what "looks right" when it comes to scallions.

It's sounds like the perfect side for the Lemon and Coriander Chicken - yumm. I haven't tried toasting the grains but it sounds like a good idea.

No other recipes for the Kashi 7 Grain pilaf - but I'll ask my parents; I obtained the recipe from them.
