your pizza dough recipe and with the persuasion of you and Melissa in Dallas may try some. I thought I would be brave enough last weekend. I even bought the cheeses, fresh yeast and some mushrooms.....but I chickened out!

I made a similar one last night with fresh dough and

used a combo of mozz/swiss, sauteed mushrooms, thinly sliced onions, a little parm, with an extra virgin oil base. It was great. Next time I would not sautee the mushrooms as much as they continued to cook on the pizza. Thanks deb for a great pizza combo!

Oh Barb - it was delicious!!

The pizza was terrific! We brushed the dough w/ some olive oil and then I topped it with grated cheese and then topped with a combo of sauted onions, mushrooms and garlic.

Thanks for asking Barb. And go ahead - it'll turn out great:)

Well, I am still not having good luck with the whole wheat breads,

the last two I made good be used with my first attempt at mashing potatoes, which my dad so tactfully told me could be used as mortar, well these loaves are the bricks to go with it. I have the white doughs down pretty well. I just made some herby garlic toasts to go with soup, from the last loaf I made. I am going to start my sourdough starter today, and I think I am going to make some cinnamon rolls for breakfast tomorrow. Can I make these tonight and refrigerate them and just let them rise in the morning? Back to the wheat bread, I think perhaps I am making too dry a dough? I did buy some new yeast, but I don't think that was the problem because all the other breads were fine. Any ideas? Right now, I have to concentrate on cherries. I also have a pear tree, an apple tree, a peach tree, and a plum tree coming up. I don't know what I am going to do with all this fruit. I think freeze a lot of it for pies and cobblers and such, since I don't like them very much...smileys/smile.gif

Thanks, Barbara. I've been out of town for work the last few days....

So glad that you posted the recipe!

I leave the dough a bit sticky when I make wheat bread. I also don't use ALL wheat flour.

I'm amazed at all you're doing! You're also very lucky to have the fruit trees. DH would be in heaven at having so much fresh fruit!
