Excellent...thanks for the quick response, Deb. A coworker has asked for two quasi wedding cakes
for Tuesday for her friend, who is another coworker of ours. HE is getting your chocolate cake with a peanut butter filling. HERS will be a Dominican Republic traditional wedding cake--which I've never made and which directions say it shouldn't be made ahead of time.
So I'm going to make yours today and freeze it...then make Jy's DR cake Monday and decorate them both then. Jy doesn't work with us...the cake will be delivered to her by her "new" husband.
I actually had to look the coworker who requested the cakes IN THE EYE and say: "We AREN"T GOING TO CUT IT, RIGHT???. You can't slice another woman's wedding cake when she's not here, RIGHT? That would be like regifting a USED wedding cake, RIGHT!!!"
