I don't know very much about these. Is there one that you know

know about and are they expensive?

I haven't done the $ research, but I can't justify the cost. The few times I've needed this kind of

detail, I took the image to Walmart once and Publix once and they made it for me.

The problem I foresee is the edible ink drying out if you don't use this setup very often. Plus...there's the printer, the ink and the rice wafer paper to pay for. You'd have to sell a lot of cakes to recoup your costs for those.

And I don't sell any product. I just make this stuff for fun and to thank the library.

Yowza! I didn't know edible paper was that widely available. This is the first I've heard of it.

Most bakeries are using the concept now, since you can do an actual photo.

I brought in a thumbdrive with the image, had them print an edible image and then transferred it myself to the cake.

What? I didn't know you could do that! I thought edible paper as in...you eat the paper, or it's

food safe (safe to touch other foods you'll be eating. I had no idea there was such a thing as a transfer. I though they got the images on cakes like silk screening directly on the cake. Whoa. Learn something new all the time!
