Did anyone (besides Melissa) watch the horror show last night with Gordon Ramsey?

I thought he was scarier last night than on Hell's Kitchen! Is everything really "Amazing"? He has a limited vocabulary: "#@%&!!#" and "amazing". I suppose he was very nervous doing live TV.

I agree with Melissa (FaceBook) that the steaks did not have good color. And they looked worse with the cream sauce.

I forgot to watch it...There was a story in the NY Post on Sunday, will look for the link

It did not give it rave reviews...If I recall correctly, it implied that the menu was "dated" and the ingredients were expensive; ie cost over $100.00 for a dinner that would be served 10:00 est if you were cooking with him...

It was such a disaster and the celebrity thing didn't add a thing for me

That one girl was just down right silly. I have a feeling that Cedric can hold his own in the kitchen with or without Gordon. And LeAnne was just so so. And I'm loosing respect for Whoopie - I still like her movies but I'm over her after some of her viewpoints on The View.

As for the food being dated - I don't know, I think they are good classics and I think Steak Diane is overdue for a comeback.

And as much as I like firemen (I sort of work for the fire department - I oversee their construction projects) I thought that was almost in poor taste having them 'rush' in - it was probably extras and not real firemen anyway.

It was just really bad. He used to do segments (along with other British chefs) would go to someone's house and help them and then shw them preparing the same meal back at the restaurant. That was actually fairly good - same sort of thing but it worked much better than this.

Sally has a lovely blog---and her picture too. I have some marmalade in the freezer to use up. yay
