Did your celery grow?

I planted celery from the bottom of purchased stalks as per a post on this site. That was months ago and I have 3 lovely little clumps of leaves but nothing resembling a stalk. I was wondering if anyone else had better luck.

Didn't try celery, but this worked beautifully with old lemongrass stalks.

I had purchased 6 rubber-banded stalks and they got pushed to the back of the frig. By the time I found them, they had gone moldy. I was so bummed I walked outside to toss them, but instead shoved them in the dirt of a potted plant on the patio.

It's now 4 ft tall and I am happy, happy.

I put some green onions into a bit of water on my windowsill and the greens are sprouting. I use

the whites too, so this is just an experiment for getting more green stuff.

I had good luck with that once too. Unfortunately they became unhappy when they discovered winter.

I planted mine, but it's taking forever...thin stalks in some places. But the leaves have lots

of flavor, if you just want celery flavor smileys/smile.gif
