On the menu:

"I'm sorry I flipped out and ran around the apartment like a banshee on meth last night after finding one mosquito, despite sealing all windows in the apartment for the last two months" gnocchi with chicken and summer vegetables.

And

"I spent three hours on the phone with the health insurance company this morning, and am only just coming off the adrenaline high, though it's good to know my high-school debate skills are still there" plum tart.

 
My menu

For the kids and hubs, mustard glazed ham with Ina's roasted potatoes and onions and garlic green beans.

For me: I-didn't-even-get-an-interview-for-the-teaching-job-I-wanted-so-so-bad-despite-working-at-that-school-full-time-last-year Malbec. Period.

 
Exact same thing happened to my niece

and I do mean *exact* except she was part-time because that's what they had. But.....after the disappointment, 4 months later a dream job came through that she did get (and is now living with us during the week since her commute from her apartment is too long. I am overjoyed at having her with us!).

So I am wishing the same thing for you!
