Mastectomy went well and I'm recovering very quickly. Chemo will start the beginning of May, will go for six months, then I'll have radiation. And hopefully this nightmare will be over (except for being vigilant).
In preparation for chemo, I cut off almost a foot of hair and now have a very cute bob. I'm sad it won't last long, but the hair will grow back and in the meantime, I get to wear all my hats and scarves.
I haven't really cooked in several weeks, so need to get back into it (before I lose my appetite with chemo). I did bake some trout the other night with garlic, lemon, and a little olive oil and it was really good.
