Do any of you have a source for decent looking canning jar labels. I don't want some with

"Jack and Jill" in the garden type graphics or

"Made especially for you with love" type stuff. Just something like

Or just an oval with a little design around the edges.

I've spent the last 20 min. on the 'puter looking with no luck.

Cyn...

I used to use 2x4 shipping labels from Avery, or a comparable brand, and then used the free PrintMaster Express program to make my own. (I did a Google for the download, but it doesn't appear to be the same free one that I used.)
If you look at the labels at an office supply store, you will find all kinds of shapes, even circles, that might work. I had a lot of fun making them, and I thought they turned out pretty nice.

The nearest office supply store is about 50 miles away ;-( I have to wait until I

need something else so I can justify using the gas. It's up to 4.25here

Avery makes just about everything... they SHOULD have sheets of oval labels...

I'll be glad to check my local office supply stores for you (I've got 2 within walking distance)

I make my own too. If you can't get the Avery stuff (although it's always available on-line) just

import a template into a Word document, print a "page" of labels, cut 'em out with scissors and glue on with Elmer's or even glue stick.

Not as efficient as the self-stick but certainly cost-effective. I'd actually be happy to send you a "page" of my labels as a template if that would make life easier. Let me know.

Cyn: I am sending you a list of places to check for labels. Hopefully you will find what you need.

giving labels.
Let me know if any of these help you.

No I just found some cute little graphics and made my own labels using Avery standard

label packages. If you want some of my graphics, I can email them to you. I don't like the gingky cutesy stuff either.

I also do this for the magazine boxes that file my foodie mags. Each type has a different

and hopefully appropriate graphic that directs me to the specific publication (usually without my having glasses on).
