Does a microwave bacon cooker have to rotate?

I've been given one, but it's too long to rotate in my ancient, small microwave. Should I risk it, or look for a smaller one?

my 23yr old m-wv bacon cooker is too big to rotate, works like a charm~ Don't worry about it

I have used it, it does not rotate, and I love it, has never failed to work for me. Seriously I would use what you have and $ave your money

We cooked bacon for years in our last microwave that didn't have a rotating

base. It worked just fine. I think they recommend 30 seconds on "high" for each strip for "medium" if I am rembering correctly, although I never understood why more bacon would take more time... it's so little and doesn't take up much density. (?)
