does anyone else get the Americas Test Kitchen email newsletter? this week was quite interesting.

Very interesting method for those burgers...I have to try that.....

I have just started grinding some of my meats and I love it.

My first try was using chicken breast for making chicken burgers...what a difference.

Me too, never heard it was better than some of the other brands. I did use it for years, though.

I'm using Nielsen Massey...I wonder if this was one they tested and how it came out.

Is anyone using that Goldtouch Nonstick Rectangular Cake Pan

for baking/cooking? I've never heard of it. I'm using a Pyrex glass and a white Le Creuset 9X13...both seem to work for me for what I do.

Karen.... I need help....

just ordered one. Could not resist.

I will now move away from the computer and feel guilty for a day or two.

(sigh, sigh, sigh)

It's all Ang's fault.... (sigh some more)

I use the gold touch square pan and LOVE it - nothing sticks. I'm saving to buy the rectangular.

I totally disagree that McCormick is the best of all the ones they tested,

and they never even included Penzey's vanilla extract, which is excellent, especially their double vanilla. Plus, I've tried several other brands, including some in this CI test, that I prefer over McCormick. McCormick isn't bad, but I wouldn't consider it the best. I've always disagreed with them that imitation vanilla is as good as pure vanilla. They even concluded in one of their tests that imitation was better. At one point, their highest recommendation was the CVS brand imitation vanilla, and they preferred it to Penzey's pure vanilla extract. I bought the CVS brand, just to prove my point to myself - it was vile. Went right into the garbage.

It seems to me they've changed their recommendations over the last few years to brands that

are less expensive and carried by most supermarket chains.
