Used 1 meaty rib, leftover raw veggies pulsed in food processor and onion/garlic of course. Can't find the barley but will add it tomorrow. It's Saturday lunch. Leftover sweet potato rolls too. They really are the nicest dough.

Soup!

It's a good day for making soup here in N.E. Ohio too. I've got a navy bean and ham soup going on the stove. My neighbor has pneumonia and I made a double batch too share. Making a couple loaves of corn bread later this afternoon! BTW, I love beef & barley soup. Enjoy!

My mom used to make beef barley soup from the leftover Christmas prime rib bones too.

Thanks for the memories. Actually, I've never cooked prime rib!

I have an elderly neighbor, who is also one of our gardeners, who is recovering from a stroke and needs a hand a times. Her refrigerator went out this week and this morning I transferred her freezer's contents to my chest freezer while she looks for a replacement. Good timing, since my holiday meals are over and I have room. There is a 6-lb. prime rib in the mix. Do you think she'd notice?

(Yes, she would. She's sharp as a tack! Damn.)

Last of the Prime Rib Roast

and will add lots of vegetables. What will make it special?

Thanks for this - I froze our leftover rib bones cuz I didn't have space to make

one more thing and put it in the fridge. Looking forward to making some yummy beef soup!
