tried it once and was totally unimpressed.

I did not buy it for that feature but only because it was the only one that would fit into the existing space. In fact, I hardly use a nuker at all.

But I wouldn't mind knowing if it actually does work for some foods.

 
Marg, I've used one...

in a friends kitchen and it made perfectly crisp bacon and burgers (using the crisper pan that came with it). She's told me it's great for chicken and pizza and especially for reheating any leftovers that were crisp the first time around (she reheats french fries for her kids too). She likes it so much I've been thinking of installing one in my own kitchen.

 
Thank you Ruth. It must be me then. Given your report, I'll try it again with greater expectations.
