Does anyone have a recipe for sm

That's a beautiful cake, but I'm wondering in what universe a kid--any kid!--would touch it.

Cucumbers? Salmon? Green leaves.
Ya, not exactly a kid's cake.

But a truly lovely adult version.

Marilyn, Marilyn, Marilyn, She made the smorgastarta as a "Birthday Cake" for her blog........lol

oh! giggling to myself...well, THAT makes more sense. Thanks, G.

I get my second cataract surgery tomorrow... hopefully I'll see and COMPREHEND better.

Yes! Feel better soon and ask for those eye drops!! John is going to

be doing the same thing soon so would you be willing to share how it is when you're back to 100%?

Thanks Gay! I have decided to go with a luncheon cake that

is a variation of a sandwich loaf that my godmother used to serve at her DAR luncheons. It is a rectangular loaf of bread that is sliced horizontally and then layers with eggs salad, ham salad or whatever and then frosted with cream cheese.

I also just bought a 7 3/4 oz. can of Van Camp's Beanee Weenee for $1.69 at the gas station. I bought it for the can. I wanted something to use as a mold for a sushi tower appetizer. It's hard to find a can that can be opened on both ends. I was grumbling about the price and then thought, if I bought the same mold at William's Sonoma, it probably would have cost $7.50 and I wouldn't get the Beanee Weenees. smileys/smile.gif

I love your beanie weanie logic! and that sandwich loaf is always a stunner.

so hard to find a bakery to bake those unsliced Pullman loaves though.

Apparently this is 6-year old Angie! Thanks all! Vision is good...not quite as good

as last week's reading where I could see 5 point fonts.
Today I was at 20/40. I think they overcorrected and now they're saying..."oh, it takes a month and up to three months to finalize the actual readings."

Regardless...I can see a LOT better now...and the sky still looks like I dropped acid instead of Valium before surgery. Not that I've ever dropped acid, but I did go to art school in the 70's.

Heather, the drops that change/lengthen/color eye lashes are for glaucoma (my husband has those drops)...I had cataract surgery in both eyes. I've thought about sneaking Larry's drops, but I've also heard that it can change the iris color and I'm quite happy with my green color. So I stick with Estee Lauder mascara and deal with the pathetic envy.

Since you are "in the business" don't forget you can cut PVC pipe

into appropriate rounds for cold presentations.

Yay for better vision!

I'm sure it will improve. I remember my late MIL and after her cataract surgery she was trimming her eyelashes with scissors!! I was rather envious. I know about the drops you can get from the dermatologist that can change your eye color, but I too like my light hazel eyes! The green and gold part makes me happy!!

Feel better and hope you notice improvements as time pass.
