does anyone have an Oster 6812-001 Core 16-Speed Blender? if so, what do you think of it?

Can't speak for that one, but I have an Oster 10-speed that I bought several years ago, and it works

very well.

 
Funny, I use the cuisinart when I make it. I never use my blender and am thinking of getting rid of

it. Just taking up space in my small condo kitchen.

 
I've had the 10-speed for over 20 yrs--still going strong--but

I use maybe 4 speeds.

I really like the units that I see on cooking shows where you use a dial to increase the speed. I would think that you'd have more control.

 
Ummmm, yes. Do you put rce in your blender?

Not sure if you thought I could help with that rice cooker question, but I can't. My rice cooker only gets used for 1 thing. Rice. Plain rice. Every day. Brown every once in a while, but 99% of the time, it's just plain white.

I usually don't consider single use appliances, but the rice cooker is an exception. It's something I couldn't live without.

Girlfriends and I were having a conversation about coooking rice in a pot on the stove, and I had to admit that I didn't know how. Never did it smileys/smile.gif
