I was putting it away and on the bottom there is a small plastic lid that says LIFT HERE. So, like Alice, I lifted. Right there.
Underneath was a long thin spool of...I have no idea...possibly fine steel wool? Something carbonized? Whatever it was, it was degrading.
I imagine from the design position that it serves the purpose of the grinding wheel, but in this case, it services both sides of the 20 and 15 degree slots, so four knife positions hit this spool.
And since my life is divided into 2,683 boxes at the moment, I have no clue where the instructions for this product are. And their website was useless for this issue.
WHY, I ask you (after asking myself), why would you put a replaceable part on an object and then NOT MENTION IT in the product's full-page description?
So...does anyone know what I'm talking about and have you ever replaced this part (because it looks easily replaced). And if so, how did you get the replacement part?
