Someone posted that the best Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie they ever tasted was in Typically Texas Cookbook II.

The 2003 poster didn't have a contact. Ebay doesn't have the book.

I had a typically texas cookbook sadly it was destroyed I did manage to save a few recipes not

cookie recipes. It is my understanding that these books were put together by a rural electric co-op deep in the heart of texas. I have a favorite recipe called peach strudel. It's not what I would consider strudel but it is yummy served with vanilla ice cream. It had recipes using stuff like number 2 can of tomatoes, whatever that is. I received mine back in 1978 . I would love to get my hands on a copy. In a magizine I recieve there is a post you can place seeking recipes, cookbooks or whatever. I think I will try a post and see what turns up. I'll keep you posted Ann.
