If so, please let me know how you like it. I bought one today at Sur La Table without getting an opinion first. That's another store I want to buy everything I see!!!!!! LOL

Thanks Debbie. I hope to try it out over the weekend. DH is working (m)

so it makes it easier for me to "play" "Betty Crocker" when he's not here. LOL

Yeah, and I'll bet he loves coming home to the smells and surprises!!! smileys/wink.gif

Go, Harriet! hehehe

I bought a *new* (never used) Super Shooter after reading Mimi's recommendation. (think it was Mimi, anyway...it's been awhile) I'm excited to try mine too, but dont have time to bake right now, unfortunately.

Got it on...where else? eBay... I love that place! You can find ANYTHING on there, and inexpensively!

Return that thing and get a Ware-Ever Super Shooter on eBay!

I loooooove my Super Shooter. So much so that I have two. They were made in the 70's and they have an electrical cord so they're very powerful and don't have to change batteries/recharge or whatever. I haven't used a battery-powered one, but I have heard from other people that they are underpowered.

They are going for about $10 right now but when I got mine about 3/4 years ago, they were so hot that I paid $120 for the first one and $50 for the second one a year later! They were very rare, but the eBay sellers noticed they were a hot item so a bunch started showing up and now the price has gone way down.

The "double barrelled" models are nice, or sometimes you can just pick up spare parts for it, too. If you get one, make sure with the seller that it comes with all 9 discs and the two piping attachments. If it doesn't come with the excellent recipe book I can send you a scan.

They are also sold under the names of "Sears Fun Gun" and "Montgomery Ward Party Pistol". Same exact thing. Sometimes those go for a little less because people don't realize it's the same. They were all made by Ware-Ever and rebranded for Sears and MW.

I have to hang my head in shame! I have no idea how to "shop" on (m)

e-bay. I heard so many horror stories that I never bothered to seek it out. I understand you have to register with all kinds of personal info. and I do not like to do that. I thought you had to bid on everything and maybe one would get lucky enough to buy what they wanted. That type of shopping is not for me, unless I go to an auction where I can see the merchandise. Then it is fun to bid on things.

You HAVE to learn to ebay! I get so many cool things....

The only 'bad' experience I have had is I recently bought a book and I DIDN'T read the description accurately - it was a book of restaurant REVIEWS not RECIPES! and the guy took a month or longer to get it to me because he had a family emergency that called him out of town. But the book was only $0.99 and the shipping was a few bucks so not a whole lot down the drain. I just barely missed a wool throw that was made as a promo for a movie by a famous Italian company - easily worth over $200 and it went for $10.50 and came with an authentication certificate from the studio and the money went to charity. That one made me sick - I was consoling a friend and didn't get to my computer until after it closed and I lost it because I had my bid set at $10 since no one had bid on it and I had it for over 24 hours. Hoping they'll put another one out there because they often do.

Everything else has been WONDERFUL! I get lots of cool cookbooks. I got one of these 5 tier aluminum 'picnic' carrier like my grandmother had - for $9 never used! It was a great memory. I buy clothes both used and new. I got a $260 pair of designer silk evening pants with the tag still on them for $30. Got a used designer cashmere and wool blend houndstooth blazer for $9. We've purchased tickets to college football bowl games (but that is one of the riskiest areas).

And you can set up searches and it will send you emails to tell you when what you are looking for is put out there.

Sorry Debbie, but no msgs. in PM area. I guess they have not (m)

been able to fix the problem as yet. If you like you can E-mail me at Toleprincess@cox.net

I love ebay, if you're careful, there are things you can do to not get burned...

I've made purchases of over $1000 on eBay and everything has always gone well. eBay doesn't ask for any more personal information than any other e-commerce-type venue. Pay with PayPal and your purchase is guaranteed in case of fraud. Check the seller's feedback, if they have good feedback, and lots of it, you're safe. There are risks everywhere, but the rewards of eBay are fantastic!!
