Does anyone remember the sour cream onion dip that you got in the deli at Kroger?

It isn't like a French onion dip. It was very light and sour, no dark caramelized onions. No green onions that I remember. I don't remember it being too strong on onion flavor. I want to recreate it but trying to get a handle on what I think it might have been.

huh...I always thought Kroger's was only a Pittsburgh store.

It used to be part of the "big three" in the supermarket industry.

Safeway, Kroger and Albertsons serviced the biggest share of the American supermarket industry. Several mergers have taken place, as is the usual pattern with these giants.

Kroger just bought Harris Teeter in the south. It is King Soopers in Denver. nt
