Does Costco do frozen turkeys? My friend is buying 36 to donate.

Yes, I think they do, but do they all have to come from the same place? Publix has .59 per pound

turkeys this week. However, there is a limit of 5 per Customer. More than 5, they're .99 a lb. Still a pretty good price. I don't know how much they are at Costco.

Beth checked at Publix. 0.59 for the first 5, then 0.99 thereafter.

Also, she was hoping to have them store them until Nov 22 when they'll pass out the baskets.

If she waits til next week, she might find more sales on Butterball. If they're really cheap, the

number will be limited. Winn-Dixie has Butterball this week for .99, but limit is two.

Don't know but the meat and chicken we've bought at Costco has always been excellent

so nice of your friend!

A couple ideas....

1. If she wants to buy them from a grocery store, I'd contact the manager. First, they can make sure they have enough on hand, and two, it's likely they'll be able to offer a better pricing.

2. It's likely she'd get a better deal going through a restaurant supply company. I'd contact the PR person for one of her favorite restaurants and tell them what she's trying to do. Would they be willing to order the turkeys for her? I bet they would. (I've had good luck with this strategy.) Because they can get better pricing through volume, I bet they can get her a good deal. (Plus, they may want to jump in on the fun and do a match of some sort...)

3. Another option...if she's going through Costco, again I'd contact the manager and/or their PR person. They'll be sure she gets the best price.

We actually like store brand better. Butter Ball turkeys are infused

with something that leaves an objectionable taste.
