I can't remember when I bought it. It smells a bit musty. No weevils or anything like that.

Does whole wheat flour go bad. Mine is in sealed container in the pantry.

Most definitely it does go bad. It's the fat from the germ in whole grains which goes rancid. If
it's smells questionable then I'd toss it. Check out any of the links through the google search below for whole wheat/grains info and how to store for keeping fresh longer.

Five months???? Oh, man- mine is at least a year old! Thanks, Pat.
I know, I know, 5 months isn't very long. Sometimes I just buy what I need in the bulk section at
Whole Foods or a nearby health food store instead of a 5 lb. bag which I know I won't use up before it goes bad...even if I were to store it in the fridge or freezer...no room to do THAT at my house. ;o)
