Cranberry Pecan Salad

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp maple syrup

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp. minced shallot

1 scant tsp. minced garlic

1 tsp. Dijon mustard

1/2 cup olive oil

1/2 cup lightly toasted chopped pecans

1/2 cup fresh or fresh-frozen cranberries cut in half

salad greens to serve 8

Good with all or any of arugula, avocado, mesclun, crumbled blue cheese

Marg notes: I've made it with both but prefer dried cranberries that sit around in the dressing for a couple of hours.

 
Oh how nice! I love that salad too and find it's often the first thing to be polished off on a

hoiday buffet table.

 
Just to keep the recipe true, Pat posted it with fresh. I am the one who prefers the dried guys.

I don't want to be putting words in Pat's mouth. Sorry, I need to find another way to add my notes.
