E-mail problems. I have over 3,000 e-mails saying

Mail Delivery System - Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

I keep deleting this and I get more. Has anyone had this problem?

Do you by any chance have Outlook Express? This could be some sort of virus or malware.

No, Windows Mail. I have Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper. Shouldn't

that eliminate something like this happening?

I have a feeling I may have to change my e-mail address. I wonder if that will

eliminate it? I hate to do that but it's no good this way.

Interesting. I'm running vista (which I hate) and spysweeper. I Can`t picture them

dying out. I have over 4,000 and counting in the Deleted file now. Thanks very much for your help, Meryl.

We just had trouble at work with our AOL mail... their solution >>

Restart your computer in safe mode (usually you hit the F8 key repeatedly just as it starts up again). Once safe mode has opened you can go to your Norton Antivirus, or whatever one you are using, and do a complete virus scan of your computer. This will probably take a couple of hours, so allow for the down-time.

Well I spent all day yesterday talking to or waiting to talk to technicians at Cogeco and Webroot

Antivirus. Pays to be persistent. The 4th tech. first uninstalled e-mail and reinstalled it. Didn't work. He then changed my password and said if that worked the e-mails would slow down gradually not stop completely. If all fails I'd have to change my password. I checked my addressbook and there he was "Postmaster@usyd." etc. which I deleted. I've only received 10 today. 3 or 4 at a time, not 100 or 200 at a time so maybe they are petering out.
