Earnie, in that liqueur thread above, where did you find a Five gallon jar? . . .

I have some 5 gallon old water bottles, but something with a larger mouth would be nice. I have one gallon jars with wide mouths, but they probably would not hold the bourbon, plus mint, plus sugar.

Also, what kind of bourbon do you use? Cheapazoid, middle-of-the-road, nice? What brand do you suggest?

Sorry to be so late answering

I found a glass five gallon jar from one of the elementary school kitchens. Not sure what was in it before as they had already washed it. It is a glass jar with metal screw lid.
