There are a few instruction steps missing....
1. A grandmother needs to be in the room, wearing a bubuska and an apron so old you can see through it.
2. At some point, at least one bowl of colored Rite dye must spill on the even older table cloth.
3. Immediately after Point #2, babushka'd grandmother will kiss and soothe you, mumbling words in another language that you will not understand but will understand that they mean love.
4. And then you are handed scraps of dough to braid (or more likely, attempt to braid) your own ring loaf, just barely large enough to cradle a single egg dyed to the color of the tablecloth.
