eeek, I'm cleaning out the freezer and found a container of oven roasted tomatoes and

Randi, I just finished up two containers of roasted tomato sauce from 2006

I make it every year with tomatoes from my garden. They were sealed in those little containers with the blue lids that come from the grocery store. They were fine, although not as strong in flavor as the ones from the last two years.
Somehow I missed them last year when loading the 2008 and they got stuck in the back.

cool! mine were pureed and in the same type of container with very little "frost" on top. the rest

of the containers weren't in good shape. the blueberrys have to be 2 years old and the seal broke. there's frost but not too much. I did pop the roasted tomatoes into the frig freezer and will have go at them. as Michael said, my nose will tell all smileys/smile.gif

As I've explained to Randi, we'll be stopping by after 3 days of my SIL's cooking. ANYTHING

will be step up, even 3-year-old tomatoes. Even 10-year-old tomatoes!!

Ideal Vacuum pack machine?

Which Vacuum pack machine do you use? I had one long ago but it wouldn't seal after awhile. I also can't afford an expensive one. Any ideas?

MBB...if you do a search on "vacuum" you can pick up any threads

on that topic...

Of course, you'll get vacuum sweeper info as well.
