Enamel Canning Bather and Glass Top Stoves, Advice Needed

My friend bought one of those big pots, it's enamel with the speckles on it for canning, and it says not use it on glass top stoves. Why? What's the difference? She is thinking because it might scratch her glass top.

I can't figure out why, since you can use them on open flames or electric burners.

I have an enamel canning pot and a glass stove top and use both with no problem.,

Have had no problems using an emamel canner on my glass stovetop.

at one time, glass top stoves were sensitive to long boiling times

the recommendation was not to use the large canning pot and the long time (sometimes hours) of high heat...
I've never had a problem with my glass top stove, but I haven't done a full day of canning on it either...
doing smaller batches nowadays
