Yum, I knew this looked familiar, Sally posted it a year ago and gave it a good review. Did you use

purchased ricotta?

 
Yes, I bought ricotta. The brand I buy (Precious) is on the dry side but the cake was moist

and delicious. I'm kicking myself for missing Sally's post the first time! Such a great recipe.

 
I mention the drier part because I have another ricotta cake recipe

and others had some challenges. I think it had ro do with the texture of the ricotta. I didn't realize they varied so much until that discussion came up.
