Libby has really been improving. When this all started back in April she was down to 41 lbs and just listless and unengaging with Sunny and her bathroom was basically water.
We started the chemo treatments for her and she started small improvements then by leaps and bounds ~ We are so happy and proud of her.
Today she had her ultra sound after 8 wks of chemo~ prognosis: Only one lymph gland at 2 centimeters ~ compared to several at over 6 centimeters and the best thing was the oncologist had to really search to find that one. Hooray!!
Her weight now is 53 lbs and her bathroom is more solid. The greatest part: is she is engaging in play with Sunny and our new puppy Snoopy (we got him in July for Sunny and he is an absolute riot) Libby thinks she is Snoopy's mother as does Sunny but Libby takes her role very serious. It's really cute.
I actually saw Libby initiate tag with Sunny and run a bit in the yard. I never thought I'd see that again and I have to admit I was emotional about it.
I think she is going to beat her cancer ~ they are going to continue 6 more weeks of chemo ~ to be safe.
